Katie was born and raised in the great state of Missouri. Her hometown is Edgar Springs. A population of about 190 give or take. In 2010, she married her High School crush and together they live and operate a farm near Vienna, MO with their 2 children.

Katie studied Advanced Photography at a school in Rolla, MO. She completed her education in 2014, yet her photography journey started when she was just around 12. She opened her business in 2014 as a way to make a 2nd income while she raised her children. In 2020, she had a studio built on their farm that sits right next to their beautiful orchard and one of the ponds. The farm and studio make for a great place for natural light portraits. The trees bloom every Spring and turn bright green by early June.

Along with her business, Katie also has been homeschooling her children since 2013.

The portrait to the left is in Memory of KC who was Katie’s heart dog since the Fall of 2009. He was the best dog, loved by many, and will forever have a piece of her heart.

Katie has an outgoing and humorous personality, she enjoys socializing but also loves the quiet of the farm or exploring a national park with her family. When it comes to her photography, she’s very focused and detail oriented. Katie’s goal with her photography style is to capture classy timeless portraits using the beauty of natural light.
